Our Mission

We’re here to explore what else beer, and life, can be.

Born from friendship and fueled by curiosity, Oedipus is a community of creators, thinkers, and drinkers who believe flavor is just the beginning. We brew to discover, to disrupt, and to invite others into something unexpected.

Whether it’s a saison aged in passito barrels, turning kegs into instruments, or building an upside-down bar, we’re not interested in the status quo. We’re interested in what happens when we color outside the lines.

Timeline

2012

After experimenting, exploring and learning Oedipus officially started with their first born Mannenliefde and Mama beers

2013

Crowdfunded by believers. Even if the dream pub stayed a dream.

2014

Gaia emerges. Mother Nature’s West Coast IPA.

2014

Thai Thai makes its spicy debut.

2014

Panty, our first winter stout, joins the party.

2015

The Taproom opens. Gedempt Hamerkanaal becomes home.

2016

Bigger brews. More barrels. The lab starts bubbling.

2016

Pais Tropical is released.

2016

Mango Sour, Polyamorie hit the scene.

2018

Our German-style Pilsner is released.

2023

Time to grow. We begin our slow farewell to the Taproom.

2024

Craft Space opens. One roof for all flavours: brewery, taproom, studios, shop.

2025

Bride, our wit bier, is released.

Spätkauf opens in Amsterdam.
